Undoubtedly, the course was very useful, real dialogue with native speakers! We had an opportunity to improve pronunciation, grammar and enrich our lexicon
As for topics, I didn't enjoy the topic about politics. From my point of view, in Russia, we are nonpolitically interested, for example; we don't know our national
anthem even, the difference between the democrats and the liberals exactly. That is why, it was difficult to discuss this topic for some of us. As for topics about literature and culture, they were interesting for me! Taking this course helped me to be a better language and culture learner.
My wish, at the beginning of your course, please, acquaint the students with curriculum. Finally, I suggest you to offer this course to schools, specialized in English and also to colleges etc.

I consider the distance learning course in English is useful and actual approach.
I think it will compete with full-time tuition in the future.
There are great pluses, such as: the communication online without leaving your home at convenient time for you. The communication is directly with native speakers. Problem which can appear is the technical aspect, such as: problems with internet or with the connection to computers.
Atmosphere of interactions with our overseas professors is relaxed and friendly during virtual group meetings. Language skills are improved (every person has own level of improvement, but any case it “bears fruits”).
I don't like to talk about politics. Maximum, I hear about politics on the news.
I find it's hard to speak about politics, because I'm not knowledgeable in it.
The most interesting topics are the literature and culture. Because, these two directions are linked with the study of the language. It’s extremely interesting to learn culture of representatives of the country of the studied language, compare cultures, and look for similarities and differences with our views.
I would like to engage in such method and have opportunity to get some certificate
at the end of course in the future.
I would replace the theme about politics, for example, health and tourism, fashion and style, technology and change (pros and cons) and etc. smile

I really enjoyed exploring all the topics in the course as each of them added to my understanding of American culture, which I am naturally interested in being a teacher of English language. I didn’t find any assignments useless, though at the beginning of the course some of the assignments posed considerable difficulty for me because they involved mastering complicated computer software, which I found a bit unnerving. I don’t find excessive use of technology in teaching the language particularly exciting, but it is my personal preference. I don’t feel I can offer an expert opinion on that. I felt very enthusiastic about interacting with American professors, though, I am afraid, my enthusiasm was slightly misinterpreted and I’ve made the wrong impression on them.
I suppose, there has been a considerable exposure to the target language during the course. Most of the tasks, including discussing and interpreting the meaning of the stories, rewriting them, preparing arguments for debates or making presentations, undoubtedly promoted development of our language skills and creativity. I found particularly exciting the activity where you have to develop arguments and try and defend the point of view you don’t share personally. It was completely new to me. Apart from perfecting your language skills it helps to develop such valuable qualities as objectivity and ability to apply logic.
I feel that my understanding of cultural values of American people has deepened as we were learning about them firsthand from our teachers. We could feel what issues raised their concern and are currently debated in American society. The structure of the course was well thought –out, the explanation of the material was exhaustive and thorough, students were encouraged and praised for their work, but, unfortunately, there wasn’t enough feedback during the course on how we could improve our performance.
To sum up, the course was very productive and enjoyable most of the time. Therefore I have attended all the classes and did, as far as I remember, all the assignments. I recommend it to anyone wishing to perfect their language skills and expand their knowledge of American culture.

I really like the course, because it is very useful and important for me to have practice with native speakers)))) During the course there were diffrent and hot topics. Also trere were very diffrent tasks especially I liked discussion it helped me to broaden my horizons and language skills!
I want to say the words of thanks American professors because the atmosphere were friendly andand now, at the end of the course they could help me expand my understanding of American cultura and American people)))

1. Mostly I liked the topic Literature as it was the most clear and interesting theme for me.
2. The most useful assignments for me were translation of the text about guns (some interview), writing analysis, making presentation with titers, writing my feedback in the blog.
These assignments were useful because I learnt how to use computer technologies (making titers), I improved my writing and logical skills, critical thinking, doing home tasks and oral English in chat on-line. I developed my cultural awareness.
3. In my opinion, the most effective uses of technology in the course were interaction of the students and teachers, writing in blog and having teachers` feedback.
4. At the beginning of the course I was amused to have the experience of interactions with my overseas instructors during virtual group meetings, but later on I felt very proud for having such a great opportunity, I do appreciate all the precious minutes spent in the course and I am grateful to our professors for their time and power which they gave us.
5. I really felt I had more opportunity to practice my language skills in this course, compared to other language courses I’ve taken, because first of all, all this course was on-line, so it was practice itself, second, each student could be asked every minute, so we had to be ready to answer and build thoughts in mind beforehand, and the last thing, our professors are English, so we had no choice, but should have spoken only English.
6. The course was well-structured and organized, but it wouldn`t be bad to have a more strict plan, no matter you change it during the course or not. I would change the themes only.. I am not really great at politics and I find hard to talk on historical themes.. I am not really eager to know history so well and to use special terms either. I would be happy to have some different themes. I am not sure what exactly, but something to develop language skills, not only cultural aspects. May be themes about fashion, travelling, health would be more appropriate and they would let us to ponder on linguistic things more instead of exerting all our strength to mind various historical facts or political events. But on the other hand, I may mistake as one the aims of the course was to deep students into the rich cultural aspect.
I am grateful for all the comments and messages of our professors, but I would like to have more feedback during the course.
7. I have found this program to be beneficial in terms of exposure to American culture. First of all, again, because our teachers are native Americans, second, they tried their best to submerge the students into American culture by specific topics and suddenly arisen questions.
7. The most challenging aspect of the course was need of creativity for each student. All the task seemed to be original and requiring not only thinking skills, but personal imagination and creativity again, which is not bad at all.
I coped with tasks with interest, my knowledge fund and with help of science sources such as books or Internet. Personally I think my interest in this course was due to my passion to the language itself, my aspiration to practice it in both written and oral forms, and, of course, due to the fact, that the course was led by English authorities, native English professors. Well, does an ordinary student in Russia have a chance to take a lesson with genuine American professors? I don`t think so.
9. I am sure that taking this course will help me to be a better language and culture learner, because now I have a better incentive, I`ve seen Americans alive and I`ve got a common imagination on their ways of considering things and their special personal features and their demands.
10. I will definitely recommend this course to others.
11. Taking this course will help me improve my professional skills as I`ve been observing our teachers` job and their special approaches and techniques for teaching us, foreign students.
